Heritage Quilt Exhibition at Glanmore National Historic Site
BELLEVILLE – The City of Belleville’s Glanmore National Historic Site, part of the Community Services Department, is welcoming spring with a vibrant display of quilts from the Museum’s regional collection.
More than 30 heritage quilts are featured throughout the historic house in Glanmore’s Stitched Together: The Collaborative Art of Quilting. The exhibit highlights the long tradition of quilt making as a collaborative practice and includes many examples of locally-made heritage quilts that were constructed by multiple quilters. The exhibition debuts right in time for March Break and includes a quilt-themed craft station and a sample quilt where museum visitors can add their own personal stitches.
Stitched Together: The Collaborative Art of Quilting is on display at Glanmore National Historic Site (257 Bridge St. East) beginning March 12 until Sept. 1, 2024. Drop in visitation is welcome during museum hours or pre-booked visitation is available at glanmore.ca.
