Most of our volunteers at Glanmore are also members of the Friends of Glanmore. The Friends of Glanmore are an incorporated group of volunteers. They meet at Glanmore for a monthly business meeting featuring a guest speaker on topics of interest. Meetings take place on the first Monday of the month between September and June (excluding stat holiday Mondays).
The Friends of Glanmore support the mandate of Glanmore National Historic Site: to preserve and present to the public the heritage character of the site and its contents. They are a registered charity and give financial support to the museum through a variety of fundraising activities.
There is a $10.00 annual membership fee to be a member of the Friends of Glanmore. Members receive a name tag to be worn at the museum and community events as well as email updates and meeting notices. Membership fees are collected by the Treasurer at the group's monthly meetings.
