    190 Years of the Belleville Police Service

    Glanmore National Historic Site, in partnership with the Belleville Police Service, is hosting a temporary exhibit titled 190 years of the Belleville Police Service. This exhibit offers a unique opportunity to explore how policing has evolved alongside the growth of the community of Belleville. The exhibit features artifacts and archival materials from the Belleville Police Service and explores the role of policing in the community over time. The exhibit is on display in Glanmore's breakfast room on the main floor of the historic house, until September 13, 2026.

    Family Games in the Garden

    Family Games in the Garden at Glanmore National Historic Site 

    Glanmore National Historic Site is celebrating summer on July 12 with FREE outdoor activities for families to enjoy as part of Historic Places Days 

    Visit Glanmore National Historic Site on Sunday, July 12, 2026, for a morning of “unplugged” fun and games on the museum grounds. There will be plenty of old-fashioned outdoor games for families to try, from carnival games, optical toys, games of chance and strategy too. Families are encouraged to bring along a picnic lunch and enjoy the museum grounds in true Victorian fashion!  

    Family Games Day will take place at Glanmore National Historic Site, 257 Bridge Street East, Belleville, on Sunday, July 12, 2026, from 10 AM to 12 Noon. Outdoor activities are FREE as part of the National Trust for Canada’s “Historic Places Days. Admission for indoor tours of the historic site will apply – or enjoy free admission if you hold a Family Membership to the museumChildren 5-13 must be accompanied by an adult. For more information call 613-962-2329 or visit www.glanmore.ca.
