Summer Fun at the Museum – July 2016
There is lots of fun for families at Glanmore this summer!
Back by popular demand are our Wednesday afternoon activities. Bring the family to explore the historic house and join our demonstrators for some old fashioned
summertime fun. Regular museum admission applies; children must be accompanied by an adult.
The following Summer Fun activities are offered in July:
Wednesday, July 13, 2016 – 2 to 4 pm—Play outdoor garden games such as croquet, hoops, graces and stilt walking!
Wednesday, July 27, 2016 – 2 to 4 pm—Make and taste delicious ice cream using our old-fashioned churn!
Don’t worry if you can’t make it to one of the Summer Fun events, your family can still find new and interesting ways to explore Glanmore.
Beginning July 15, 2016 families will be able to enjoy Glanmore’s new Museum Activity Pack program. Borrow a Museum Activity Pack and embark on an unique adventure throughout the historic house. The Activity Packs are suitable for children ages 5-12 and are meant to help parents and caregivers slow down and have a meaningful experience with their children while exploring Glanmore together. Two themes are available free with museum admission and on a first-come-first-served basis.
The Artifact Hunt worksheet is always available at our front reception desk. The worksheet will challenge children and adults alike to search through room displays for specific artifacts. Once the worksheet is completed and all objects are found, bring it back to the front desk and receive a small reward!
Glanmore National Historic Site is open Tuesday to Sunday from 10 am to 4:30 pm. For more information call 13-962-2329.
