Glanmore National Historic Site will be closed for restoration beginning January 4, 2016. The museum office remains open during this period and staff can be reached Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
During the closure work will be done to repair several floor areas in the historic building. A reproduction carpet will be installed in the lower and upper halls, front stairs and reception room. In order to accommodate the work, rooms must first be emptied and furnishings and artwork safely stored away.
The historic house will reopen in mid-to-late March 2016 with a special exhibit visiting from the Museum of Canadian History entitled: Terry Fox: Running to the Heart of Canada. It is not known if the restoration will be completed in time to re-open for March Break. If you are planning to visit Glanmore this March please call ahead 613-962-2329 or check the website to verify open hours. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
